I have some antique silverware which i've just bought some super expensive cleaner for, but my mum used to use toothpaste on hers. Aparently you use a bit of water and don't scrub too hard. I'm sticking with my expensive stuff though

If you mix domestos bleach with a bit of washing up liquid in a squidgy tube then you have a brilliant all-round cleaner.

My Gran sprinkles her carpet with a mixture of salt and oatmeal before she hoovers it - she says it makes it the carpets fresher

If you're computer keys are covered in grime then use a cotton bud to clean in between them.

If you want to make your rubber gloves last longer then turn them inside out and stick sticking plaster to the fingers - it'll stop them rubbing through so quickly.
