My waste disposal unit absolutely stinks, but I've started to put orange and lemon peel down it and it's smelling a whole lot better.

Use talcum powder in kitchen rubber gloves to make them easier to take off after use

Try using petroleum jelly on lipstick marks before they go in the wash.

To remove ink stains from fabric try using hairspray first and then scrubbing.

If you're using steel wool pads for cleaning then store them in the freezer to stop them rusting.

If you need to clean a really grubby toilet then try using damp sandpaper on tough grimy rings.

Here's a good one, if you lose your contact lense on the floor then use your hoover to find it - just cover the end with a sock first!

For fag stains on the carpet pour a bit of milk on the stain and let it soak in. It'll stop it browning over and then if you rub it with some raw potatoe it will be as good as new!
