Unless you are sure what caused the stain, and you know it is the thing to do, avoid putting the aritcle in hot water, as this may set the stain, especally blood, so put unknown or blood stains in cold water to play it safe

Vacume your matteresses once a month, as dead skin cells and microscopic bugs that feed on them build up, if not vacumed regulaly.

baby oil and kitchen towls work wonders on stainless steel, but wipe the baby oil off afterwards using kitchen towls to stop the baby oil attracting dust.

to get chewing gum off a shoe pop the shoe inside a zip lock bag and put it in the freezer for 24 hours, the gum will come right off!

To get rid of basically any liquid stains (best works fresh or near to fresh) on carpets simply sprinkle some salt down, leave it and the stain will go into the salt, then vacume the salt away!

You know you get those indents in carpet after heavy furniture has been there? Well simply put an ice cube on it, as the ice cube melts, the indent will rise.
