Question: any advice on removing rust-like looking stains from white ceramic bath and basin?

This is a reply tip for Sheeba. To get rust off of stuff like raditors and such, there are three ways do this. You can use a product caled CLR, or soap pads & water, or soap, water,& tinfoil. Pam-Doggirl3

A Question- How do you get a Rust stain out of a colored carpet? It's for a friend and he told me that his carpet isn't white so I believe it may be baige or a different color. Please help.

will this is not a tip I just need help how to clean the bathtub it is calcium , lime and rust how do I get it off.

paint some clear fingernail polish on the bottom rim of cans so not to leave a rust stain.

To avoid the shaving cream can rust stain, put the can in a foam coaster.

For the rust cry for help... I would suggest scrubbing off what rust you can see, first, with baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) paste. Once the cooker is clean, use a dab of oil and polish the cooker. The oil will act as a barrier between the moist air and water that would otherwise feed the rust. It will be a problem from here on out, but if you treat it regularly with a bit of oil, it will lessen the likelihood of the rust returning to say hello!

This is a cry for help - i used a stainless steel cleaner on my cooker not realizing it was aluminum!! Now there are little rust marks everywhere - any ideas on how to get rid of them?

If you put nail varnish on the bottom of cans etc, it stops them going rusty and leaving horrible stains on surfaces

If you have rust in your bathroom then use a bit of lemon juice on it and it will work wonders

If you've got any rust patches in your bathroom then try and use lemon juice on them. It's a mild acid but it can be really effective on these kind of stains.

Apparently you can remove rust stains from plastic work surfaces with lemon juice - didn't work when I tried it but maybe I needed a higher concentration of juice...
