Rug Cleaning Tip Always rub or brush lightly from the outer edge toward the center of the stain to prevent spreading or causing the ring when using solvents especially on twist rugs and pile carpets. On old, dry or stubborn stains, saturate, blot, and brush. Repeat this operation as often as necessary to remove the stain completely. I have 2 dogs and the one keeps having accidents on my area rugs. They are dark colors and now they have really dark stains on them. I've tried washing them with the hose and I tried white vinegar and I've even bought the carpet cleaner stuff at the store and it still won't come out. HELP!

Hello from Las Vegas, Nevada USA. To remove nail polish from rugs and carpeting. Simply pour some isopropol alcohol on a clean rag and spray hair spray on the dirty area, then rub. You will have to repeat this process until the nail polish has been completely removed. (TEST THE CARPET OR RUG FOR DISCOLORATION BEFORE BEGINNING THIS PROCESS.)
