To easily remove burned on grease, pan drippings etc. from stove burner grids, soak them in a strong solution of hot water and laundry ammonia. I use a Dutch oven covered with a lid to protect against the fumes. You can leave it outside if you want. Soak them until the spills just wipe off. If your grids are very bad, you can soak them overnight. It doesn't hurt them.

Rug Cleaning Tip Always rub or brush lightly from the outer edge toward the center of the stain to prevent spreading or causing the ring when using solvents especially on twist rugs and pile carpets. On old, dry or stubborn stains, saturate, blot, and brush. Repeat this operation as often as necessary to remove the stain completely. Hello from Las Vegas, Nevada USA. To remove nail polish from rugs and carpeting. Simply pour some isopropol alcohol on a clean rag and spray hair spray on the dirty area, then rub. You will have to repeat this process until the nail polish has been completely removed. (TEST THE CARPET OR RUG FOR DISCOLORATION BEFORE BEGINNING THIS PROCESS.)

To remove chewing gum from fabric - place in freezer or place block of ice over fabric. When gum has hardened sufficiently, peel off gently taking care not to rip fabric. Hardened gum should lift off fabric.

We went out of town for a few days. When I returned, I saw that the person caring for our animals left the door to our guest room open. Our chihuahuas were allowed to defecate and urinate all over the futon mattress. The doo-doo was easy to clean up. Can I remove that much old dog urine, and the mattress be fresh-smelling, safe, and healthy to sleep on? Or, should I get rid of the mattress? Thank you!

you don't need stainless steel balls or spoons to remove those odours on hands, if you have a stainless steel sink just rub your hands around it and odours will vanish. Even works on onion smells.

i had a red wine stains on my light ivory coloured leather sofa we had a few people over and the wine wasnt noticed until the next day. i used lemon cif on my sofa to remove a wine stain and wiped it off with a baby wipe. i regularly clean it with a lemon and always wipe it off with a baby wipe. this has completely removed the stain no hard rubbing needed, it keeps it nice and fresh also.
