Search : peel

To remove chewing gum from fabric - place in freezer or place block of ice over fabric. When gum has hardened sufficiently, peel off gently taking care not to rip fabric. Hardened gum should lift off fabric.

I was having a difficult time removing sticky residue from a plastic table top when I got the inspiration to retreive the orange peel from my breakfast and rub it on the mess (orange side down). It worked like a charm!

To Remove grease stains from leather shoes smooth a coating of glue from a puncture outfit (rubber solution) over the stain. Leave for 24 hours then peel off.

Orange and lemon peel: My mother always kept the long peel of oranges hanging in the kitchen. She would then recycle them via the washing up bowl until the scent was worn out... then the compost!

keep your dishwasher smelling fresh by putting old lemon peel in it a couple of times a week

My waste disposal unit absolutely stinks, but I've started to put orange and lemon peel down it and it's smelling a whole lot better.
