Dirty Talk

I got this tip from some nurse friends on getting blood out of fabrics. I have used it on both fresh blood stains and old ones. Soak in Hydrogen Perioxide (do not dilute) and after letting it do its work breaking down the enzymes in the blood stain, rinse and if necessary use ordinary bar of soap or laundry detergent and gently scrub.

To keep sink clean, after wshing up, I sprinkly surface with bicarbonate of soda and spritz with vinegar I keep in a spray bottle. I use my (clean) dish rag to scrub the surface, then rinse with hot water. Follow up with hydrogen peroxide and you increase the antibacterial punch and reduce water spots. This is environmentally friendly and works better than any commercial cleaners!

For all organic stains (for example blood) use hydrogen peroxide.

For blood stains: Wet the fabric (cold water only!), then rub with handsoap. Add a capful or more of hydrogen peroxide to the stain and let stand. Rinse after 5-10 minutes, then repeat (this time in reverse, capful, then rub with soap). After 5 more minutes, rinse. If it's not too old a stain, it should come right out.

If you cut or scrape yourself while cleaning, and get some blood on your clothes or any material, use a cotton ball and some Hydrogen Peroxide immediately, and the blood won't stain. Launder as usual....great for mom's who have small children that get "owies" alot.

if you need to get rid of dye stains on the floor then try and use hydrogen peroxide, but only a little bit dabbed on a cotton wool ball.
