Maintain your desk top Zen garden. Wash the dust off the rocks once a month, and change the sand twice a year to prevent dust buildup.

For getting wax out of carpets, or other surfaces, use either a brown paper bag or kitchen roll, and gently iron with a warm iron over the wax, it should lift the wax right off.

On Leather sofas, use baby wipes, leaves the sofa feeling soft and smelling fresh. For that extra gloss and shine, after cleaning use saddle soap.

If you've got a really disgusting oven that you just can't get clean or can't face cleaning, get someone else to do it! My friend raves about Ovenu - she said it got her oven back to new. Not tried it yet but her enthusiasm for it has certainly convinced me!

To keep stainless steel splashbacks and hobs smear-free clean first and then rub over with a cotton wool with a tiny amount of baby oil on it. Gets rid of smear and seems to stop food getting crusted on.
