My
grandmother taught me this: for a stained kitchen dishrag, wet with hot water and wring out, lay flat in bottom of sink and pour about 2 tablespoons of bleach on it, fold it in half twice or three times and roll it up very tightly and leave it set in the sink or on the counter until it is nice and white. It doesn't matter if you leave it until it's dry, unless it is worn and thin, then sometimes the bleach will eat a hole in it.
