Instead of using a feather duster which will just move dust around your room, fill a bowl with hot water and add a few drops of your favourite essential oil (I recommend lemon and lavender). Then soak a clean rag in the bowl, wring out and use to pick up dust. You'll enjoy the benefits of aromatherapy while giving your house a great smell and an eco friendly clean!

A lot of people don't think to clean down the back of the radiators. You will be surprised just how much dust , muck & dead bugs gather down there! I find it easiest to use a telescopic feather duster & push it down the radiator (when switched off). It doesn't necessarily catch all the dust but it will at least push it out where you can easily vacuum it up. (A lot of allergies are caused by this dust that we forget about!)

Feather dusters were great in the 1920's but nowadays use an ionic cloth (it attracts the dust to the cloth and holds it there)
