Dip a soft bristled paint brush in fabric softener and allow to dry. Use this to dust your knick-knacks. It will not only remove the dust but keep the dust from collecting so quickly.

brighten a whole room by dry dusting the light bulbs! Also from learning the hard way: NEVER wipe those light bulbs with a dryer sheet! It smells so good at first, then the perfume burns and smokes and turns your bulb black. Live & learn!

Always use a damp cloth when dusting, it will pick up and hold loads more dust.

When dusting delicate ornaments I find a small soft bristled paintbrush is ideal for getting in all the crevices. It's also good for dusting the tv/video remote controls
