To remove chewing gum from fabric - place in freezer or place block of ice over fabric. When gum has hardened sufficiently, peel off gently taking care not to rip fabric. Hardened gum should lift off fabric.

Not a tip, anyone got a good tip for removing chewing gum from clothes?

Remove chewing gum from carpeting by using ice cubes to help. Freeze up the gum with the ice; it will turn very hard, and you can pick the gum out of the carpet fibers much more easily.

to get chewing gum off a shoe pop the shoe inside a zip lock bag and put it in the freezer for 24 hours, the gum will come right off!

Following on from chewing gum, if you need to get rid of wax then try melting it with a hairdryer and then blotting it up once it's runny
