I've heard of using rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle, I think mixed 50/50 with water, instead of shower fresh.

Hello from Las Vegas, Nevada USA. To remove nail polish from rugs and carpeting. Simply pour some isopropol alcohol on a clean rag and spray hair spray on the dirty area, then rub. You will have to repeat this process until the nail polish has been completely removed. (TEST THE CARPET OR RUG FOR DISCOLORATION BEFORE BEGINNING THIS PROCESS.)

Getting ink out of clothes. Try clear rubbing alcohol. Have an old towel under the stained garment. Pour the alcohol on the ink and blot stain with clean rags or paper towels. You don't have to remove all of the ink by blotting; launder the garment when you are tired of blotting the ink stain. Use a stain remover over the alcohol before laundering.

My homemade cleaner recipe. Tanke 16 oz. of alcohol add enough water to almost make a gallon of cleaner, then add 1 tbsp. dish liquid, 2 tbsp. white vinegar, and 1 tbsp. ammonia. The cleaner has no smell and shows no mercy to dirt and leaves things sparkling.

Problems with small flies in the house? We’ve got some cheap rubbing alcohol which we spray at them and it knocks them out! It’s better than spraying pesticide all over the indoors, and any excess just evaporates away. I guess you could also call it humane too!
