This is a question really. I have an 18 month old puppy. A few weeks ago my cat decided to urinate on the carpet in the living room. The pup being the pup (and male) decided to urinate over the top of it. Now the room is absolutely stinking. I have tried washing the carpet a few times and disinfecting it, but nothing is working. How can I get rid of the awful smell? It's really embarassing when people are in the living room. I can tell they can smell it. PLEASE, PLEASE someone help me. I would really appreciate the help.

Puppy urine accidents on carpet, blot with paper towels to remove as much as possible then cover the spot with table salt. Make the salt pile pretty thick, 1/2" to 1" thick. Salt will draw out moisture that has gone deeper than the towels wil reach. Let the salt dry completely, it will be hard and crusty. Pick the salt off the carpet and then vacuum.

I love my dogs but having just got a new puppy I forgot how horrible it is to clean up pet poo! I use a mixture of ammonia (about a cup of warm water and two spoons of ammonia) and then blot the stain out with tissue. You can use baking soda as well if there's any lingering smell
