Not a tip but a question. I have been told that you can use Citric acid to descale a kettle but does anyone know if it can be used on plastic kettles or other plastic items such as a pet drinking fountain?
To clean an automatic dishwasher put EITHER a cup of white vinegar OR 1/2 cup CitricAcid in the bottom and run it through a cycle. You can get CitricAcid in most Pharmacies.
To descale your kettle mix a teaspoon of citric acid (available from your local pharmacy) with a pint of warm water, leave in the kettle for 3 hours and it should be clean as a whistle
