To remove deodorant stains from shirts etc., soak in white vinegar and warm water for 30 minutes before putting into the washing machine, the vinegar softens the deodorant and the detergent does the rest.

I have window air conditioners. In humid weather I collect the water which discharges from the air conditioners by placing a bucket on the ground under the drip hole. I use this water to water my garden and potted outdoor plants. By washing my garden spade in the bucket after turning my compost, I also add fertilizer to the water.

I had a bad ink stain on my new carpet once . My son's pen exploded on the carpet and it was days before I found it. Milk, Milk got the stain out.I poured some in a bowl and used a white clean cloth and soaked it in the milk, then I gently rubbed the cloth into the ink stain. I used a steam cleaner afterwards to finish the job. But not until there was no trace of ink left in the carpet. But Milk did the job.

in my previous home, in the spring, i had quite the issue with ants. so oneday, i decided that since terro was mostly borax, why not use it around the foundatiuon of the house. terro is pretty costly for the amount that you get, but mule team 20 is a huge box and much more cost effective. make sure to reapply every spring.
