The best cleaning brush I've ever used was a denture brush with a plastic pick on the handle. They're heavy duty enough to handle tough stains (especially when used with baking soda-bicarbonate for those not used to us Americans- water and dish soap), but gental enough not to scratch anything. The pick can get into the hard to reach places.

I have figuire this out a month ago. If you use clorex floor cleaner, Scrubbing Bubbles tub cleaner 2/3 filled hot water or warm water in tub & a motorize scrubbing brush like the ones with Dawn written on them. You can get mold, mildrew, soap scum, old cauldon (sorry about the spelling, I mean the white stuff that people put around the tub that drys on it for years) off of the tub. It might take time but it will come off. And I didn't have to use bleach, I didn't have to wear gloves, mask or goggles. I save some money doing that too. Pam-Doggirl3

Having trouble getting your tubs clean? Try a product called Greased Lightning, sold at automotive stores. Most scum in the bath is caused by body oil and soap oil. Another degreaser may work, but Greased Lightning does great for me.

I wash shower curtian and liner and hooks all at once in the washing maching with a few towels and pop it in the dryier for about 10 min. and hang it right back..It's been long enough to dry the plastic liner and it's still warm and all the wrinkles hang right out. It's complely dry in just a matter of a few hours.

An easy way to get rid of hairspray buildup....combine water and liquid fabric softner (equal parts). Residue comes off easily from floor, countertops and cabinets and it smells great too!

Purchase turtle car wax paste and coat your bathtub/shower walls and doors. You will find cleaning up easier. Do this once every two to three months and soapscum, mold and mildew will not be able to build up.

I was hoping that someone could give me a tip. The cabinet under my bathroom sink smells funky. It smells of a combination of urine and damp. I tried cleaning the cabinet, spraying it w/lysol and putting a mixture of baking soda and carpet freshener and none of it helped. Does anyone have any suggestions that work??? Thanks, Alisa

When cleaning the bathroom make sure that you don't waste time by redoing the same areas. Concentrate on the cleaning in hand and you will get it done faster and better.

I find that a hard bristled toothbrush is the best cleaning tool for the bathroom. It really gets hard dried on gunk loosened up nicely

to clean a shower curtain, toss it in the washer on gentle with a couple of dirty towels (because the curtain likely isn't absorbant) along with a cup of baking soda and vinegar, or bleach. i saw aggie demonstrate another method (tossing it in the tub and stomping it like you're stomping grapes), but honestly - this is much easier. :-P

If you’ve got a partial blockage in your bath drain, try filling the bath to the top with water and leave. The weight of the water sometimes clears the blockage. Don’t try with a completely blocked pipe as you could find yourself wading in lots of water trying to fix it.
