Bathroom

This one is simple and effective. I clean my bathroom by adding a small amount of bleach and dish detergent to a bucket of warm water. I sprinkle baking soda on surfaces and wipe them down with the solution in the bucket. My tip is this: I dunk the hem of the plastic shower curtain liner into the bucket before starting. The solution settles into the heam and prevents mildew. I also do the same with the plastic window curtain which is inside the tub enclosure.

Thanks Kryslyn, is there something to click on to get the recipe for these tips that Kim and Angie talk about from the show? I have an easy tip for Hairspray that gets on the bathroom walls and door and mirrors. Use Clarifying Shampoo . I mix up about two dime size dollups into a small spray bottle add a small amount of water and spray the area and let sit for a few seconds. Wipe it off with clear water. Use more shampoo if needed . I have this way of getting hairspray all over my bathroom door and my mirrors and this really works for me.

use toilet cleaner on your taps and plug hole ring, the toilet cleaner is a descaler and works wonders, use any kind of sponge or cloth.

Before you start scrubbing anything, run a steaming hot shower and close the bathroom door for about 5-8 minutes. It will loosen the dirt and cut your cleaning time in half.

I've heard of using rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle, I think mixed 50/50 with water, instead of shower fresh.

Mold! This is in response to the question regarding "All you need to clean mold" Bleach. I think it was a 50/50 or less with water. I used it on an old mold spot that I thought I owuld NEVER get out and it was gone almost instantly! Thank you Kim and Aggie!

Vinegar is a good disinfectant because of its acidity. If you "neutralize" the odor with baking soda, you will DECREASE the acidity, and probably decrease its germ fighting ability.

A good way to clean your mrrors ALL over your home including the large bathroom mirror(s) is use a teaspoon of AVON bubble bath (any smell you like, I perfer the original pink) in an ice cream bucket of warm water. Dip your cotton cleaning cloth in the water a few times then ring out. Go over small parts of your mirror with a wet cotton cloth followed by a dry cotton cloth. Your mirrors will sparkle "I GARANTEE".

Keep a chucks sponge in the bathroom at all times. Everyday when I brush my teeth I wipe the sink, mirror, bench and bath with the chucks. It takes 30 seconds if you do it everyday. Just use water and squeeze out really well and your entire bathroom and even mirror will sparkle. You may think the mirror will be hazy but it dries crystal clear. I have two kids and my bathroom is always sparkling. I use a cleaner on my bathroom once a week and at this time again only takes about 1 minute to clean.

For mold on the ceiling in the bathroom: dilute bleach in a spray bottle with water and spray away. The bleach kills the mold and fades any stains without need of scrubbing.
